How to Help

Every contribution — large or small — makes a real difference to a child in critical care.

"It costs nothing to care — and everything to the child who needs it."

The Pediatric Intensive Care Foundation depends entirely on the generosity of individuals, families, and organisations who believe that every child deserves a fighting chance. There are several ways you can support our mission — choose the one that suits you best.

Ways to Support Us

Make a Donation

A one-off financial donation is the most direct way to support our work. Every zloty we receive is directed straight to the Pediatric ICU — funding equipment, supplies, renovations, and the ongoing operational needs of the unit.

No donation is too small. A single contribution can help fund consumables, monitoring supplies, or part of a larger equipment purchase that will serve hundreds of children over many years.

1% of Your Income Tax

Polish taxpayers have a unique and powerful option: you can direct 1% of your annual income tax to a registered charitable foundation — at absolutely no extra cost to yourself. The money comes from what you already owe the state, not from your own pocket.

To support us, simply enter our KRS number when completing your annual tax return (PIT form). Your tax office will transfer the designated amount directly to the Foundation.

Enter this number in the "1% of tax" field on your PIT return. It takes less than a minute and costs you nothing extra.

Corporate Sponsorship

Companies and organisations play a vital role in enabling the Foundation to fund large-scale purchases and infrastructure projects. Corporate sponsorship is a meaningful way for businesses to demonstrate social responsibility while making a tangible impact on children's lives.

We welcome partnerships of all sizes — from local businesses making a one-off contribution to larger organisations seeking a long-term charitable partnership. Sponsors receive acknowledgement in our communications and materials.

To discuss a sponsorship arrangement, please contact us directly.

Fundraising Events

Organising or participating in a fundraising event is a fantastic way to support the Foundation while bringing your community together. Whether it is a charity run, a school bake sale, a workplace collection, or a community event — every effort raises both funds and awareness.

If you are planning a fundraising event in support of the Pediatric Intensive Care Foundation, we would love to hear from you. We can provide materials, acknowledgement, and guidance to help make your event a success.

Equipment & In-Kind Donations

In some cases, donations of medical equipment, consumables, or other in-kind contributions may be appropriate. If you are a medical supplier, manufacturer, or organisation with equipment to donate, please contact us to discuss how your contribution could benefit our unit.

All in-kind donations are assessed by our medical team to ensure they meet the clinical needs of the Pediatric ICU and comply with applicable regulations.

Spread the Word

Awareness is one of the most powerful tools we have. By sharing our story — with friends, family, colleagues, and on social media — you help us reach more people who may want to support our mission.

You can help by:

  • Sharing our website and social media posts
  • Telling people about the 1% tax option
  • Mentioning us to local businesses who may wish to sponsor
  • Writing about us in your community newsletter or school publication

Why Your Support Matters

The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit we support is one of the most important medical facilities in the Wielkopolska region. It treats children in life-threatening conditions around the clock, 365 days a year — from premature newborns to teenagers facing the most serious illnesses and injuries.

State funding covers the basic operational costs of the unit, but it is simply not enough to keep pace with the rapid advances in medical technology, or to fund the kind of ambitious expansion project we are currently undertaking.

Every donation we receive goes directly to filling that gap — whether it is a new monitoring system, a specialist probe, a ventilator, or a renovation that makes the ward a better place for children and families. Your support saves lives. Directly. Measurably. Every day.

Full Transparency, Always

The Pediatric Intensive Care Foundation is a registered non-profit organisation (KRS: 0000269686) subject to full public accountability. We publish annual reports and financial statements in accordance with Polish law. Every donation is tracked and directed to the Pediatric ICU — you can trust that your generosity reaches the children who need it most.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I donate from outside Poland?

Yes. International bank transfers are welcome. Please use the account number and foundation name listed above. For larger donations or corporate contributions from abroad, please contact us directly so we can assist with the process.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Donations to registered Polish foundations may be eligible for tax deductions under Polish law. We recommend consulting your tax adviser regarding the specific rules applicable to your situation. The 1% tax scheme is a separate mechanism available only to Polish income taxpayers.

How will I know my donation was received?

If you make a bank transfer and would like confirmation, please send us an email at biuro@verifsave.com with your transfer details. We will confirm receipt and can provide a formal acknowledgement letter upon request.

Can I specify what my donation is used for?

If you have a specific wish — for example, contributing to a particular equipment purchase — please contact us in advance. We will do our best to accommodate earmarked donations where clinically appropriate and practically possible.

How do I set up a recurring donation?

You can set up a standing order from your bank to our account using the details above. Regular monthly contributions are particularly valuable as they allow us to plan ahead and commit to longer-term projects with confidence.

Ready to Make a Difference?

Whether you choose to donate, designate your 1% tax, become a sponsor, or simply share our story — your support changes lives. We are grateful for every contribution, and the children in our care are the living proof of what generosity can achieve.
